Download the certificates for Fischer Connectors
All connectors from Fischer Connectors are RoHS compliant. The European Directives 2002/95/EC and 2011/65/EU call for the elimination of certain hazardous materials - cadmium, lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDE) - from electrical and electronic equipment including connectors.
Fischer Connectors has taken all necessary measures to be in conformity with the European Directive REACH (Directive 1907/2006/CE, Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals).
Fischer Connectors does not manufacture or import chemicals, thus does not need to do any registration or pre-registration. Today, all our business partners gave us sufficient guarantees that the materials and products used in the manufacturing of our connectors are and will be registered according to REACH Directive.
As the identification of a substance as Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) and its inclusion in the Candidate List is an ongoing process, Fischer Connectors is reviewing the Candidate List regularly to continuously ensure its REACH conformity.
EICC Code of Conduct (EICC - Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition)
Fischer Connectors applies and adheres to the EICC Code of Conduct, which establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in manufacturing supply chains are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.
The Code of Conduct provides guidelines on performance and compliance with five critical areas relating to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies and performances:
- Health and Safety
- Working conditions
- Management System
Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection
The Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (July 2010) brought significant changes to financial regulation in the United States. It made changes in the American financial regulatory environment that affect all federal financial regulatory agencies and almost every part of the financial services industry.
Part of the Dodd-Frank Act is the Disclosures on Conflict Materials in or Near the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) is mandated to create rules that address potential conflict materials and to assess whether materials originating in or near the Democratic Republic of the Congo are benefiting armed groups in the area.
Fischer Connectors has contacted its suppliers and examined their statements on Conflict Materials for gold (Au) and tin (Sn), materials used on our connectors. To our best knowledge, Fischer Connectors is compliant with the Dodd-Frank Act.
Sony Green Partner Program
Fischer Connectors is certified as Sony Green Partner. Sony sees global environmental conservation as one of the most critical issues for humankind in the 21st century. For the procurement of parts and materials used in its products, Sony designates suppliers that cooperate in the production of environmentally sensitive products as Green Partners.
Since April 2003, Sony procures parts and materials for its products solely from suppliers that have qualified as Green Partners. This qualification is one requirement for suppliers wishing to both start and continue doing business with the company. Suppliers must renew their Green Partner approval every two years.
