Connector shells of the 405 and 4032 Series are fabricated from a proprietary engineering plastic. This material provides a high level of performance sufficient for many applications, with the advantages of increased electrical isolation, chemical resistance, lighter weight, and reduced cost. The 405 Series connectors are impervious to thousands of medical sterilization cycles via autoclave or liquid germicide and withstand operating temperatures of +200°C.
