The 1053™’s fully sealed and strong body provides outstanding resistance to rough OB shooting conditions such as extremes of climate, crushing by heavy vehicles and many other mechanical stresses. The connector’s design completely eliminates the difficult procedure of precisely polishing fiber-optic contacts, using special epoxies and the need for expensive specialist equipment. This revolutionary technique is a huge timesaver: the connector can be quickly and simply field-assembled and field-repaired on-site by the user. When it comes to televising major live events, a broadcaster simply cannot afford the time to send damaged cables back to a repair centre. Therefore, being able to freely field-manage HD connections reduces the cost of ownership; no need to outsource anymore, no more spare cables to prepare..… in fact, maintenance at your own convenience!
