As part of our commitment to our employees and business partners, Fischer Connectors applies and adheres to the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in manufacturing supply chains are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.

The Code of Conduct provides guidelines on performance and compliance with five critical areas:

ISO 45001:2018 is an international standard that provides a framework to identify, control and decrease the risks associated with health and safety within the workplace. Fischer Connectors is ISO 45001 - certified, ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers and visitors.

Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act

Our commitment to people extends to the very beginning of the supply chain. To our best of our knowledge, Fischer Connectors is compliant with the Dodd-Frank Act, which includes a section on the Disclosures on Conflict Materials in or near the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This section comprises a mandate to the US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to create rules that address potential conflict materials and assess whether materials originating in or near the Democratic Republic of the Congo are benefiting armed groups in the area.

To ensure compliance, we have contacted our suppliers and examined their statements on Conflict Materials for gold (Au) and tin (Sn), materials used on our connectors.


Management systems

Our quality management system is based on ISO standards, helping us exceed our customers’ high standards while adhering to regulatory requirements. Fischer Connectors is ISO 9001:2015 certified— ensuring excellence, every time.

We provide our customers with quality products that are safe and reliable for integration into medical devices. Our organization is ISO 13485:2016 certified.



ISO 14001:2015, Environmental management systems

Our environmental management system is ISO 14001:2015 certified, meaning that we efficiently manage our waste, work to prevent contamination and make efforts to reduce our environmental impact.

RoHS calls for the elimination of certain hazardous materials - cadmium, lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) - from electrical and electronic equipment including connectors.

To make sure our products are as safe as they are performant, all connectors from Fischer Connectors are RoHS compliant.

While Fischer Connectors does not manufacture or import chemicals — and therefore does not need to do any registration or pre-registration — we have taken every necessary measure to conform with the REACH directive.  All of our business partners have given us sufficient guarantees that the materials and products used in the manufacturing of our connectors are and will be registered according to REACH standards.

As the identification of a substance as Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) and its inclusion in the Candidate List is an ongoing process, we regularly review the SVHC Candidate List to continuously ensure REACH conformity. 

Fischer Connectors is certified as a Sony Green Partner, making us one of a select group of Sony suppliers who cooperate in the production of environmentally-sensitive products.

Since April 2003, Sony has been procuring parts and materials for its products solely from suppliers that have qualified as Green Partners. This qualification is one requirement for suppliers wishing to both start and continue doing business with the company. Suppliers must renew their Green Partner approval every two years.
