The new partners are undertaking in-depth needs assessment in various segments, including transport, instrumentation, medical and broadcasting.

Saint-Prex, Switzerland, 3 July 2015 – Fischer Connectors, a worldwide leader in push-pull circular connectors and cable assembly solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with LCI Brasil, making them its first distributor in Brazil.

Building on its long experience in Mexico and Argentina, Fischer Connectors is expanding in Latin America, where many opportunities are opening up – particularly in upcoming industries like aviation, railways, and oil and gas. Brazil is a dynamic yet challenging market. As an economic leader in Latin America, Brazil has diverse industries that could benefit from Fischer Connectors’ Swiss-made engineering expertise, global supply chain, and process innovation to improve their own products and performance. Brazil is also a good base from which to serve clients in neighboring countries, who have also expressed great interest in Fischer Connectors’ premium products and services.

LCI Brasil (www.lci-brasil.com) is based in São Paolo, a major transport hub and booming city where many instrumentation companies are located, with a strong demand for rugged, reliable connectors and innovative solutions. As Ricardo Rodriguez, Fischer Connectors’ Sales Manager, explains: “We can address challenges that others cannot”. The partners are currently undertaking in-depth needs assessment in various segments, including transport, instrumentation, medical and broadcasting.

In all these applications, where performance and reliability matter, the Fischer MiniMaxTM Series offers an innovative, high-density miniature solution with a unique combination of power and signal contacts. This enables more functionality in smaller devices, and lowers the total cost of ownership. It is now available both in 19 and 24 pin configurations, giving designers more flexibility, especially where space and weight restrictions play a role. It comes as a standalone connector, can be mounted on a flex or cabled by users, or as a complete pre-cabled solution. This makes it ideal for hand-held and body-worn use, in unmanned land- and air-based vehicles, or wherever easy access to multiple protocols via a single connector is important.

In broadcasting, there is great buzz around the Fischer FiberOptic Series, which offers the best-in-class optical performance and reliability needed for a stable optical link, combined with easy mating and easy field cleaning. These robust push-pull connectors are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and come pre-cabled for maximum performance and time saving. They perform perfectly in harsh environments and have a high ingress protection (IP68) when mated and IP67 in unmated conditions. Fischer Connectors also offers complete cleaning kits adapted to its field cleaning methods.
