NPI Process Engineer

Key responsibilities and activities

  • Implement, control and optimize the processes to manufacture connectors and cables assemblies in any of the Fischer Connectors plants around the world
  • Bring expertise to identify the critical processes to transfer to the selected production sites
  • Define the production data to correctly setup the ERP
  • Prepare the technical transfer documentation
  • Train the production teams at our plants, support them during ramp-up and fine tune the process parameters
  • Define KPI to measure the production quality and implement continuous improvement actions
  • Act as a technical process’s expert during audits of production sites
  • Propose innovative solutions to create scalable production means

Hard skills

  • Master’s degree in microtechnology, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Background or proven experience in qualification of manufacturing processes and validation of new equipment
  • Knowledge in one or several of the following is welcome: over-molding, plastic injection, design and setup of molds, soldering techniques, crimping, press-fitting, epoxy dispensing
  • Knowledge of medical quality standard with ISO-13485
  • Knowledge in automation of manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Able to work in French and English (C1/C2 level)

  • Rigorous, structured and analytical
  • Good communication skills to create training & transfer documentation
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills during initial manufacturing and ramp-up phases
  • Open to different cultures in Europe, Middle East, Asia
  • Ready to travel
